This last Sunday, I met up with good friend Chris Parrish in Burlington, WA and we drove up to Diablo Lake in North Cascades National Park. We then donned spandex and pedal bicycles and rode over to Mazama in the Methow Valley, 50 miles away. The ride is nothing short of spectacular. We had great weather to boot. Bare knees and arms were the norm for the ride! After a not-so-quick pit-stop we pedaled back. I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking but, of course, they hardly do the place any justice. It is simply an experience-in-the-flesh type of place.
OK, now, before you check out the photos, to get the full experience, click here --> http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126786322
Then click the song on the left side of the page, "Celebrate". This song played on the radio on my way down to meeting up with Chris and it kinda became the mantra of the day.
Here are some photos from Chris's camera: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2232067&id=25901186&l=ab65639dd8
